The spectrum you mention is huge.
There is a big difference between a police officer and an FBI agent. they will require different levels and degrees in education. A detective is mainly a lateral transfer, after you work your butt off in patrol for many years. A CSI is an evidence technician, few agencies are big enough or busy enough to support a full time E.T. let alone a unit. Many departments use multi jurisdictional task forces for major cases leaving only the best ET's to be assigned there. While it is nice to have high goals, you will beat a beat officer fr a long time before a specialty is available.

Start paying attention in school and learn how to write like a person. This is the best advice you'll get all day. |

well either way you usually have to start off as a police officer which the pay is good depending on what state you work in. some area's i heard they dont get payed vary well and other area's i heard they get payed vary well. |
