I recently moved to North Carolina from New York. I do not plan on being here that long and still have my New york license and insurance through new york state. I received a speeding ticket of 44 in a 34mph zone and paid the fine. While looking through information online i ran across a few sites saying that New York and colorado do not put points on your license or record accrued from other states. Is this true?

Might. BUT NC will have you on their system for speeding. Let's say you decide to make it permanent. They may have a law stating you will have to take additional driving courses because of the ticket.
