State of Texas - I got my car towed back in 05' I got a letter in the mail today, saying that I owe $85.00 for a ticket I got when my car was towed. (which I dont remember - PARKING ticket for parking in a tow away zone) I traded in my car since then. Can I have a warrant for this? Will I get in trouble ? Because I really dont want to pay it.

Are you certain you paid the parking ticket, and not just the towing charge?
I sure wouldn't ignore it--you don't need the headache. I'd call the court and find out whether you inadvertently failed to pay the ticket, and if so, how you can pay it. Even if it's a mistake, it's more trouble to fight or deal with a warrant than it is to just pay it. |
