I work in group homes - I transferred in November to another house. Yesterday she came there for a shift to make trouble for me. I have evidence to prove we were together a photo of us, I have files to send to police , seperate and different files to send to to my head office HR and managers. Is there anything else I can do.Will also go to police with files on death threats etc and she threatended to slander me witha abusing her kid - ( her kid kicked me in the nuts and fell down and cried ) I keeled over Please dont say talk to her / reason with her. In the past she pulled a knife on me - drove her CRV at me when I dumped her. I walked away from her so as to ' be a man ' RIGHT ? not whine about woman that is dangerous and not be a RAT on my coworker . Now she come to destroy me and my career for revenge of me dumping her. Dont say for money she has four jobs and makes over a thousand dollars a week. Please anyone experienced with this advise me. I have never done this before though I should have once before too - I will do it this time. These files of past events are still good - I walked away and tried to be peacefull but she wants to wipe me out with my career as she has done before to others. I seem little fanatical here but as you can see I am dealing with a pro scammer and need to cover all bases. Any other advice - how about going about it in which manner. I will be doing it all on tuesday when everything is open after the easter holidays. Please any advice - now I have to do it. I tried to walk away

I'm glad that you asked for help. You are being abused and threatened, and a woman would long ago have gone to the police for a restraining order. Don't be embarrassed about your situation. In the U.S., 5-10% of abuse happens against guys. That's just what's reported. My pastor was an abused husband for 20 years until he learned that turning the other cheek wasn't helping his kids. Today he's got a sweet 2nd wife and an adoring congregation. In other words, it's NOT your fault.
I agree that you should go to the police, and let the HR guy know it too. Please do all you can to keep her out of the group home. I would put a picture of her on the door with a sign that she's NOT to be let in. Let the police know about her threat as well. Where I live, "Communicating Threats" is a misdemeanor. I would also go to an attorney and have him/her write her a stern letter. From now on do not talk to her or her son for any reason. Let the HR guy know of ALL the action that you've taken. It would be a real shame if you lost your job in these economic times. Plus you have to protect the group home residents. (I'm partial to those who work in group homes--my husband does).
Heads up when you're alone. God knows what she will pull.

Get a restraining order.
Also, threaten to sue her for slander. Threaten in this case meaning with a letter from a lawyer. |

You should tell the people you work with about her and the situation. You should also report her to the police.

I don't think anyone who's halfway intelligent would tell you to reason with her or talk to her. Obviously this woman is psychotic and WAAAAY beyond reason. This is not appearing to be one of those situations you can just "walk away" from if she's attacking you, your job, your very way of life.
You need to involve the law. Start with filing a restraining order. She'll be served with it and if she violates it, further legal punishment will be dolled out and that's just tough beans for her. |
