I would like to join the police and have heard there is a police training course that you can get you up to speed to give you a better chance of getting through the recruitment process.
Does anyone know what this course is called, and if so, do you know where they are run?
I live in the Tyne and Wear area so anywhere near there would be best. I am looking to do it on a part time (evening) basis.

Within the library there are study guide books for every test possible.
On line try police testing facilities?
Many Law Enforcement Academies have a University they are affiliated with and offer Fee Paid Courses to civilians, about Law Enforcement as a part of continuing education series. |

My ex partner is a police officer. He did this college course but when he eventually entered the police force they actually told him that the course counts for nothing and is a total waste of time.
There IS such a college course in England. |

You can do a BTEC in Public Services which not only covers the police but also all uniformed public services, such as Army, RAF, Fire Service etc. and you can specialise in a certain service which in your case would be the Police and this will definatly benefit you if you wish to join up. Look up your local colleges and ask them if they do this course if not pop into your local connexions office who will help you.

It's not a college course - at least not in this area (Wales) I be;ieve it is run by Inspectors and only lasts a wk-end - but don't take my word for it, have a word with the training dept in your local head quarters. It does cost by the way. |
