Police-Please Answer-Cadet or academy?

Okay.....I asked this before and no police officers in this section replied. Why not?!

I want to know-----what is the cadets? I saw all you need is to be 21 + and have a HS diploma. Is it a kind of training for being a police officer? Or is it best to wait til I have enough college credits and join the police academy?

Fred- What is an agency? The police dept. itself??

Different agencies have different definitions; the most common is a new hire who is attending the academy. Once he graduates, he's sworn in and then goes through the field training program.

Most agencies only require a HS diploma.
