what does it mean when a police motorcycle has only its red sirens on?

In my state law enforcement only has blue lights. Emergency and rescue vehicles are the only ones that have red lights (fire dept, rescue squad, etc.).

Some departments only have red lights. NYPD is the best example, they have no blue lights on their vehicles.

The police do not have coloured sirens. They do have coloured lights blue and red. Red is used when they are not in pursuit but are used as a warning that they have pulled someone over.

im not sure if it is a specific signal i think it just means the blue is out

Either the blue is burnt out or they just have half the lights on. Probably just trying to get somewhere fast and be safe about it.
