If you are suggesting that you are becoming an informant, then you will have a risk that those whom you report may retaliate against you. You may be performing a noble act to remove criminals from the streets. On the other hand, perhaps your cooperation is inspired by some act you perpetrated and you hope to reduce your penalty be aiding the authorities. Are you doing this because you were busted with something and to get it off your record you need to do things for them? If that is the case then I would say do it to get a clean record, but if you are going to to it to be a narc who gets money for information, then no do not do it.

You haven't given enough information. How old are you? How did this come about, why do the police need you to "spy" for them?

It is only dangerous if you run your mouth and let people know that you are being a snitch. If you do it correctly with the police and set them up with the people you are dealing with so that you don't even have to be around anymore, you won't even need to testify in court against them. And if all you are doing is street level buys, the cops are not going to put you at risk if you are producing. They will conduct the buy and then wait a couple weeks or months before they go arrest the guy.
