Police keep stealing products from my store (Ho-Ho's Ring Ding's) ect Help!?

Ok when I first opened my store I told the NYC police they could have little snacks for free like HO HO's, Ring Dings, Brownies, Coffee ect..

This became to much for me because I had half the department coming in and taking multiple items it was simply becoming too costly.

I told their cheif (also a fan of my free ring dings) that I needed this practice to stop it was becoming to costly. He agreed, to this day and it's one year later they still take the items and I've tried calling them out. They say protection doesn't come free and I would be sorry if I took this matter any further.

I can't afford to just hand out little debbie products and coffee to half of the department HELP!
Additional Details
The problem is my store is in a bad area and their presence really helps. I fear that one day I will have a problem and they will just put me at the bottom of their priority list.

Put up a BIG sign saying that free snacks are limited to on duty uniformed police officers, with a limit of 1 per day. (maybe with a cartoon of a cop with his face stuffed)

I think the adverse publicity from your other customers will cause them to comment to the cops and the practice of stealing will diminish.

Talk to the local news stations, I'm sure they'd love the story and would help you put a stop to it by letting everybody know about it.

Contact the state police or state attorney's office and make a complaint. Those officers are violating the police code of conduct, committing theft, violating authorized police authority, communicating a terroristic threat by threatening to not protect your establishment for failure to pay for their items, and numberous other crimes which (according to the police officers code of conduct) should get them fired as maximum punishment for what they are doing.

Take them off of the front display so if they ask for them give them ONE only. Eventually they will take the hint.

That is going too far, I suggest you rig a hidden camera and get some of those threats down on tape.

Being with the police in the UK there is nothing worse than a bent cop.
If you needed help and they did not help you, you have a right to complain.
The police should set an example not commit crimes because If you have told them no more free stuff as another has stated it is theft.

Wow, corruption is alive and well in the modern era.

Be sure to get them on film taking these items, then show it to the chief and let him know that you don't want to go public, but this practice must stop. An attorney would love this kind of case as it would embarrass the whole dept.

call someone higher up n say something because if u asked them to stop then its considered stealing which is against the law
