today police searched my house for a man i have never heard of! They searched everywhere even under the matress! My bf even had to show id. Why would this happen and why do they think this man is here. It made me very nervous!

I guess they really wanted him and believed he was at your house. The Police may search a private residence under a few conditions. It usually requires a search warrant or consent but their are other exceptions.

You should have talked to the Officers about him while they were searching your house. They probably would have clued you in on some of it.
