Police training, Should i go?

I went and applied for the police force. Alot of people was there. I did the written test and about a week later i received a letter saying i passed and need to attend the physical training which is next wednesday. I am in good shape. I'm 5"10..165lbs. I use to be very athletic but since buying my house and working 6 days a week i have become not so athletic. I can run-jog fine..I can run for miles no problem. I can do 100 sit ups without stopping and i can do the vertical jump easy. BUT my problem is upper body strength. I can barely do 3 regular push ups in a row..(i never liked or did push ups ever) and i cant bench press that much weight either. I was always into basketball and running...just light weight lifting.

WELL my question is...Should i even show up to the training. I been trying to do push ups and bench press but i dont think i will be ready in 5 days. I figured maybe they will see i am in good shape just need to work on my upper body..ALOT....I have to take a day off work to go to the training which doesnt bother me..But am i just wasting my time since i'm not in the best shape at all. I will continue working out and trying push ups...I just hope it doesnt make or break me in the training.
