If he didn't give you a ticket you might get a indictment in the mail. Same thing but he may have given you a break from going to jail that day. The record will be there

Dude...not a good situation. It will not be on your record for college. The cop may have not given you a citation but when he wrote your name on his handy dandy notebook...he could have been taking notes to put your name in the system for future reference. Cops aren't stupid no matter how much you think they are. You may now have a criminal record but definitely not for your school record. You're all good.

your lucky... You did make a bad choice.
When I was young I was caught with a cigarette in my hand and they dragged me in; took some mug shots... I had to go to court and pay a $60. fine. I think you'll be ok.

Bad idea, but don't worry, you should be in the clear. They can't legally enter anything into a system without your written recognition that you were being cited for underage drinking.

If they made you sign ANYTHING though, you might have a problem. Most cops will let it slide if you weren't driving while intoxicated.

It's a great loophole in our Law system. It's illegal to smoke marijuana, but if you are caught while high, they can't legally pursue the issue unless you are causing a disturbance. Same rules apply to your situation.

But seriously, don't pull that again. You got lucky.

No. DUI, which is Driving Under the Influence, would get you in a lot of trouble. Since you weren't drinking AND driving, simply drinking, you should be fine. Although your mother might be upset.

It is not even on your record for bar-tending academy.

The little notebook they carry is so they can fill out their reports at the end of the day. Everything they do has to be written down. Not that anything is done about it, it is just written down in case some question comes up later.
