I got pulled over in Haledon, New jersey for delaying traffic and for having more than one person in the car(2). I am 18 years old and have my provisional license. I have to go to court and i dont know if i need a lawyer or not and how much the fines would be. Also would i get points off my license? What can i do please helpp!

ok thnx for your answers but i already went to court i just had to plead guilty and pay the fines which was like 200. i didnt get any points off or anything because he didnt write me a moving violation, but i learned my lesson.

Already, you are not following the rules of driving. They are there to protect you and other drivers. It may be fun to drive but responsibility goes with it. You failed in that.
Lawyer=who is able to pay for one? Fine=may be community service but if you get a license insuring you will be so exorbitant, you may not be driving for a while...also, who can pay? The judge determines fines and will consider many thing. Unfortunately for you, none of them are positive in this case.
You best defense is an attitude of humility for failing to exercise good judgment mitigate by newness of the driving experience and failure to grasp the seriousness of the issue. |
