If I was speeding in Montreal and the police caught me could they give me a speeding ticket by only taking down my license plate number?

When you say they caught you, do you mean stopped you? If they stopped you and gave you no ticket, you won't get one, but if they just saw you and took your number, you could get a ticket if you are a Quebec resident.
My best guess is that you won't get one. |

Hey,
My boyfriend got a speeding ticket of 1250 CAN . He contested the ticket around a month ago but has still not received an answer or anything. Has anyone experienced this same issue? If so, what were the next steps taken? He has kept the amount in his savings just in case he is told out of nowhere to pay it but that just means he's broke !!!
