I got a speeding ticket and there's a portion that says "correctable violation" and the officer checked the "no" box. does that mean I can't do traffic school? because i thought you could do traffic school every 18 months? this is my 2nd ticket and i did traffic school for my first one 2 years ago.

The term "correctable violation" refers to mechanical/equipment violations; headlights, wipers, etc.... Speeding is not a mechanical violation; hence, the "no" box being checked.
If you haven't taken traffic school in the last 18 months, you should be eligible again. It's up to the courts to ensure you're eligible, and the notice you get in the mail will explain those options.

There is no correction for speeding. Correctable violations are like headlight/tail-light/brake light not working, stuff hanging on the rear view mirror, cracked windshield, things that can be corrected...speeding can't. |
