I was at the White House today and saw this guy in a suit with a badge on his belt. Can someone please explain his job position and what he does. Im looking for a lot of information about his backround. Thank you so much!!!

If he was in plain clothes with a 5 point gold star, he was part of the Presidential Protection Division. The link below should give you an idea of what he does:

The secret service is part of the treasury department and their job is to investigate counterfeiting and protect the president and his family.

NO, no one can explain his job based on his suit and badge. You just described EVERY person working in the White House. They could be a intern or the President's Chief of Staff.
