My relative is married to an illegal immigrant. I really can't stand her and it makes me sick he is marrying an illegal. I don't have the heart to turn her in to the government. Any advice?

You can report her but....INS will not comply. INS will only take 12 or more illegals at a time. Just relax and live your own life.

Why are you asking advice other than how to be spiteful to your relatives wife?
The problem of her status is their concern and your relative can marry whom so ever they want to with out your consent or blessing.
Just do what you are already doing and tell everybody else hoping that some one else will do your dirty work for you |

If they are actually married you are powerless, as your relative's spouse is now a legal citizen with the same rights as your relative, me, our yourself. This makes you sick that your relative loves someone? You should be revelling in their happiness, not grieving and scheming on a scale of selfish motivation. Despite the fact that they are illegal, is there really anything wrong with this. I think you are assuming too much, not getting to know much about your family member, and judging simply on the assumption that an immigrant, not even one who is illegal any longer, is lower than yourself. If the immigrant, who is a part of your family, was an African-American, Hispanic American, Asian-American, etc. you would be racist for feeling sick he is marrying a(n) [blank]. The only thing you can, and probably know you should, do is try and get to know another side of your new family member. |
