On Friday, my husband took the driving test. We went to the community where a DMV car was parked there. This car is used for parallel parking. Many people go and find the car to test and practice everyday. My husband was driving and when he tried to do the parallel parking. We found there was a hole at the back side of the car (the passenger side). And were was ice covered outside of the hole. I want out and make sure that the ice is completed, not broken, no scratches. So I guess it might be some people hit the car a couple days ago and then the weather became cold so there was ice outside. We decided to report this so we drove directly to DMV and told the director about this. He asked whether our car hit it and we promised not. We said our car is outside you can check. He sad he has not idea who hit the car. And then we asked what else do we need to do? He said since it was not hit by our car, there was nothing else we can do. In order to play safe, we stayed in DMV for about an hour to see if there are anything we can help. But they didn't talked to us anymore.
I wonder if we did it right? I wonder if other people will think we were involved in the accident and run away? If police will talk to us?
We just want to be good people and to report this.
