Restraining Order rules?

If im 14 can i get a restraining order against a 16 year old. Or can my mom get one against the 16 year old to protect me?

Your mother might be able to do this but you are too young to do it on your own.

You cannot get a restraining order on your own, but you parent can get it on your behalf. An emergency restraining order can be issued for just about anything, but it is only good until a hearing to see if it needs to be put into place on a permanent basis. Usually the hearing takes place within thirty days of issuance of the temporary or "emergency" restraining order. Keep notes of time and date that you feel threatened by this person so you have evidence at the hearing.

This needs to be done through the court. If you have sufficient evidence that this person is causing you harm, an order may be placed against them.
