well i dont do it but i no ppl who have b 4. All they do i take something in a shelf, peel the wraper off, stick it in a pocket and tada!!! i think it is stupid how ppl feel the need to shoplift!!!

uhh im not a stealler but once i stole and i never gott cauuhht idkk itts justt a matter of staying awway from cameras and people. make sure you peel off bar codes though.

I work shoplifting. Sometimes there are just too many people to watch. Or we are already watching one or doing reports on someone and were not watching the camera. Some get away before we can stop them outside. Many reasons why we don;t. But eventually we will get them.

Easy. You have fat friend stand in front of the cameras view and GANK! Or have your friends distract the staor owners for stores with no cameras and there ya go. Securty only catches you if u got caught and r running. Cameras are ver unreliable peices of **** and it very easy to steal from alot of stores.

It's not like there are cameras everywhere. A lot of stores don't even have real ones. Anyway, yeah, it seems like you're just asking for advice. Don't do it, for your own sake!

they are called professional shoplifter's, the key trick is that they come in with a group and while one does the stealing the others have the employees distracted. Not to mention all the stealthy inventions people come up with to make a successful gataway. How pathetic, earn your wants in this life stealing is for the incompetent.

You think people pay attention to cameras that much? Cameras are there for the one person in a million who is wanted for murder, or comes in to rob the store. The police use the recordings more than the actual store staff.

(a lot of cameras are actually there to monitor the staff...)

I work at a Starbucks a few odd hours every week and the only time we know people have shop lifted is when we do a store wide inventory and we come up short.... and even then, it's really hard to say that someone shoplifted, and if they did, it's way too hard to find them.

Bigger the store, harder it is to tell.... and if we don't know, then we aren't going to be checking our tapes.

It's not that hard to do, it's just really stupid, especially if you get caught... the only way TO get caught in all practicality is to have someone catch you in the act

There are so many different ways to do it, from the less skillful to the proffessional five finger discount...most people just shoplift from stores with crappy security. Cameras aren't worth much, they're easy to fool and they are more for serious security breaches than shoplifting stuff.
I would hazard a guess that the biggest problem are those detectors at the doors. There are ways to get around them, but I don't know them.

Don't do it! It's just not worth it. I'm a bit of a risky person myself, but when the consequences outweigh the potential beneifits so greatly, it's not worth it. Shoplifting carries tremendously heavy penalties for such a small crime

and you just need to watch the way the workers are..after about 5 minutes you can work it out..by the work they do..

Random question, but it just kind of happens. I did it by accident three days ago. I was holding chapstick and I was about to hand it to my dad to pay for it, until something caught my attention, and I never let go of the chapstick.. and then I just walked out of the store with the chapstick still in my hand, not knowing. I didn't even know I had the chapstick in my hand until I go to the car.. That happened 2 other times to me, once with tic tacs, once with chapstick. lol
You just walk off holding it acting like your going to buy it, or just holding it and walking around looking for something else, and then you slip it up your sleeve with your hand or into your pocket still holding it as if your just putting your hand in your pocket.. and just walk out the store.
it's pretty easy most people check out the store and see where the video camera are pointing and where the majority of the people are. After they do that just find a good place to store the items where you wont get caught if searched, and it is also good to take out of box incase of alarm. But i would reccommend not doing it i am looking at sometime in jail right now for doing it.

Because sometimes they find a way to sneak in unscene and shut off cameras for a period of time. That way no one or anything can see them and get them into trouble.
