are there any kinds of laws or rules for shipping and handling? The BBB says they don't interfere in this. I ordered products from the tv commercial totaling $49.95. You'll never guess what the total came to! Are you ready? $102.65. the package cost under $10 to mail..have no idea what else would jack the total up so high.

I got the "awesome auger" last summer, it was a total of 19.95, with a couple of extras, it was less that $40.00.
The sham-wow and them must be the same company, because my total was $117.00!! It never gave a total of shipping charges when I placed my order.
It is a good product, but I learned my lesson about tv stuff now, stay away from that loud mouth guy that does the commercials. |

I can somewhat understand "Shipping" even though they chose not to have the overhead of a store and then charge to get ito you. The Handling has always bothered me. If you go to wal mart would you expect them to charge for putting it on & then taking it of the hanger. I think not! But these TV guys hit you with an unexplained Handling charge. What is that? The reason they can sell it cheap is they get you on the handling.. |

They can charge anything they want if they call it handling or storage or something so long as they have it in small print on the advert. The BBB is not a government organization by the way, they have no legal power. Membership is completely optional. |

I'll bet the ad said "plus shipping and handling." If you cared how much S&H was and they didn't volunteer that information, you could (and should) have asked. Either you didn't, or you didn't pay attention to the answer. Perhaps you've learned something. |

Never order from those TV hucksters. It's all a rip off. BTW, the BBB only gets involved with issues that pertain to the businesses that have membership with the BBB which is a private organisation. If you have a consumer complaint, you need to go through your state Consumer Affairs dept, usually connected with the State Attorney General. |

Many of these kind of companies charge an outrageous shipping charge for these As Seen On Tv items. There have been many complaints about this kind of thing going on. They will charge you a very large shipping fee if you want the so called extras which are allegedly free. That is when they will sock you with the huge shipping charge. |

I did data processing for a distribution company for a long time, and it would really depend on what they pay their employees. Some of these companies are union, and their labor earns a lot more and need to charge for it. |

lmao , sham wow , did you even watch the commercial . watch again , the carpet with soda spilled on it , the liquid is on the counter in front of the carpet , then when they show him about to put the sham wow on it to soak it up , there is no soda on the counter before he actually puts the sham wow on the carpet , it had been already soaked up . yea id say SHAM lmao |
