If you went to the police station and they told you they had footage of you stealing could you ask to see the footage and would they let you see it?

If you are charged with the crime, you would be granted access to the footage during the discovery phase of the trial. If they claim to have such footage, it may be true or it may not.
The only thing you should say to them is "Am I being charged with a crime? If not, I'd like to leave now." Be polite, but firm. If they charge you, get a lawyer and you will get access to whatever evidence they have during discovery. If they are not charging you, then you should be free to leave. |

If they had you on tape, they would have NO reason to tell you they did. Actual proof eliminates the need to obtain a confession. |

Dont believe them sometime police make **** up but trust me if they have u caught on video u will know they will call you and all that crap but they do make crap up alot. |
