He is black. Therefore cannot be held responsible for anything. |

Yes as he needs to learn he`s not above the law.Any money lost he should have to pay back. |

Inciting a riot is a felony. Also, as soon as peaceful assembly becomes not so peaceful there is no first ammendment backing anyone up. Tear Gas and pepper bomb those riotous mother f*ckers. |

Those shouting to kill the police need to be charged. Al Sharpton wants massive civil disobedience similar to what Martin Luther King did. As long as the demonstrations are peaceful I am in full support. |

He likes to stir the crap wherever he possibly can.
He doesn't even deserve the title of "Reverend."
Did he ever apologize to those innocent Duke University students? NO! |

Al Sharpton has gotten people killed before with his hate mongering (one at Crown Heights and 8 at Freddie's Fashion Mart); he's always gotten away with it. There's no reason to think he'd be held responsible this time either. |

The ACLU would never allow it. I think THEY should be held criminally responsible. |

Al Sharpton is a racist, bigoted,a**hole who seems to enjoy comparing himself to MLK when all Sharpton does is create violence, make racism in America even worse, and only cares about himself.
Yeah what Don Imus said was wrong, but it was taken too far and if Imus was punished for what he did maybe Sharpton should be punished for what he said about Mitt Romney
And I agree with you that Sharpton should be arrested or at least held responsible for these riots |

The truth

someone should tell him two of the officers were black. That will shut him up. |

I hope so. The moron is trying to instigate riots. |

Yes. I'm sick of that guy. |

Yes, and if such things happen, he very well may be.
There are laws on the books that relate to "inciting to riot". They have filmed evidence. So, it wouldn't be difficult to prove.
I didn't like the way that case turned out either. But the way to resolve it is in the courts. I predict the Bell fiance and his family will win a civil case and the NYPD will pay heavily. |

"Massive civil disobedience" is a form of protest. They will be arrested when it happens. It happens all the time in this country. |

yes he should if he wants to think hes all high and mighty well i think its about time he gets knocked off his pedestal |

Happy Bunny

Yes. He should know damn well that anything said like that invokes riots in the uneducated masses in cities. Same thing would happen if you let a black person go with a crime against a white in the country. |
|

Yes, because even a "peaceful protest" can get out of hand in a hurry and there will always be hotheads who will use this protest as an excuse to hurt others. Once an angry mob gets out of control, it is impossible to contain w/o some injuries...and a mob is like a haystack waiting to be ignited. Calls of kill the police are only the beginning. The NYPD has come under fire before, and as a result they are under more scrutiny. IMO, fifty shots was excessive, but what the people need to remember too is that some of those police officers were black...so it isn't a racist thing. |
|

No, I am the Queen

It doesnt matter if Sean Bell was Black, white, or Latino, but an innocent man shot 50 times should make alot of people outraged. The whole country should be outraged!
This isnt about race, but it seems that is all you understand:
If some Black police officer shot your white relative, would you take the attitude, "Oh, well, the law is right, and I need to get on with life..." I doubt it. Those "officers" are murderers, and New Yorkers need to let those in power know that this verdict is just plain wrong.
Crap like this makes me bitter! |

no the people in new york are already pissed off enough. sharpton is just a lighting rod of the peoples voice. if he was NOT there there would be mass riots and injuries in the streets. i live in Florida but i have an apartment in new york. i was there last week and the city was real tense. i also work in the legal field and although i respect the judges ruling, because unless you work in law you can not second guess a decision you have to admit the 50 shots was alot, taking time to reload also? it may be a very bad thing to say but the police department and courts of new york city are setting themselves self up for a real bad confrontation and it's gonna be really ugly. they have been making lot judgments on the wrong side when innocent people have been getting killed by police and people get tired of it. the excuses used by the courts, district attorneys and courts stink, a man goes to pull out his wallet and they think it's a gun so they shoot him? an elderly lady is being evicted from her apartment and reaches for her cane so she receives two shotgun blasts to the abdomen? no i think that Sharpton should not be held responsible, like you apparently do!!! |

NO!! it would not hold up |

I think you should be more concerned with why police continue to get away with harming innocent people, sometimes murdering them rather than what MIGHT happen. |
