Don't be such a stupid little tart.
Just put it down to experience and do what you are told by the police next time. |
|

Ya heard me
 |
Nope, you should have moved on when he said to. Loitering is against the law in most places. |

You could complain but i don't think you would get anywhere.
Your word against his...
A police officer against 'loitering youths'
Wouldn't go down well, just the way it goes really :S

From the officers that I know, the most irritable people to deal with and confront are not the drunks, but the teenagers. Teens seem to show no respect not only to their peers, and parents, but least of all to the law. Sometimes it is not what you say but how you say it. When you deal with a police officer, be polite and helpful. Do what is asked, and dont be snide. Your encounter will go that much better. |

Complain about what????
My God, give it a rest. He didn't do anything to you. If you're going to "complain" about something so trivial, you're in for a very hard, long, terrrible life, you precious little snowflake.
I'd be worried more about your lack of spelling and grammar abilities. |

Complain about what? The fact that a police officer spoke to you in a terse tone. Get real. |
|

The truth

Judging by your spelling and grammar, the police man was right. |

In the grand scheme of life it is not a big deal. Let it go |

He was doing his job in moving you on. How fed up do you suppose they get having to do this all the time, it wasn't a p.c. thing to say but I can understand why he would feel that way. It won't do you any good to complain. |

i think thats a bit harsh for him to say!
to be honest, even if you do complain i don't think they could take it very far apart from having a word with the officer, if you know which one it was.
its up to you, but i don't think it will amount to too much if you do.
it best probably just to move on and forget about it :) |

I'm appalled at some of the previous answers! it is clear that she is very young, and in any case, does not deserve being called " stupid little tart"
The Police officer should never have spoken to you in that manner, it is not acceptable If you don't have his name and number then it would very hard for you to make a complaint.
In future make a note of the collar number and ask an adult to consult a legal firm that specialise in making complaints against the police. |

Your spelling and grammar are really awful.
Just stop feeling hard done by and get on with it. I'm sure you've said far worse. |

yes....it will get you nowhere but it is always good that they get turned in since enough reprimands will make them stop their high and mighty attitude |

Hey,
To be honest their isn't much point complaining against him. Did you get his shoulder number? Or his name? Not only that if you miss herd him etc. Was there really any harm done? Its just an old case of sticks and stones really eh?
Not only that. As said in other answers its your word against his.
Kind Regards.

It won't get any where but maybe you should complain on principle as this helps remind the police who their employers are. Get your friends ready as witnesses, find the most senior officer you can to complain to, you could ask him to tell you which law or act gives the officer the right to rudely insult and abuse you. |

Do you know the name of the officer?
If so, then it couldn't hurt to log a complaint. Nothing will come of it, per se, but it will go on the policeman's record, and that can help to show a record of bad behavior should it ever be needed.
If you don't have the officers name, then there's really nothing you can do.
You probably SHOULD have said something to the officer at the time. People are always afraid to call out cops on bad behavior because they're afraid of making them "mad" of the cop making things "bad" for them. But if more people demanded better behavior from law enforcement in the first place, then maybe he wouldn't have felt justified in acting that way. |

i really do thnk you should. the police officer has absolutely no rights to tell you to move along if you were doig nothing wrong. for him to call you and your friends " stupid little tarts" is also very disrespectful. as long as you know the officers name, i wold GO FOR IT! |
|

Jeremy R

Yes, absolutely. Complain to several govt bodies and your member of parliament. Make a note of information such as the time, date, place etc so you can explain clearly everything that happened in detail
The police have powers for law enforcement, but not to bully and harrass the public |

well we need an honest answer. you must have done something else. if that is the entire truth (i doubt it) then yes, complain. get your m8's to be witnesses and make sure you heard him correctly. |
