YES. I'm surprised you haven't called already, call me paranoid but I've just seen way too many evil crimes committed because the victim didn't want to be 'over-dramatic'... BS, you're all alone at a hotel, and there's a dark tinted car that's giving you the creeps, you need to call the police before you go in for work to check out what's going on. Tell them that they don't know that you're calling the police, and you're alone and you've got a bad gut feeling. Don't go to work if the police don't show up, it's better safe than sorry.. seriously.

It's better safe than sorry. At least report it and give them a rough time frame of when you see the SUV there. At the least they will patrol in the area more and make themselves visible to the SUV.

You really don't want to take chances when it comes to stuff like that.

that's scary. there's no other staff with you? no silent alarm? I would call the police just to investigate the van; better safe than sorry. after all it's a valid reason to dial 911.

Yeah, even if they don't come back, you can call the cops and tell them the problem and ask for extra patrol in the parking lot. If they're up to no good, hopefully the added police presence will deter them!

Sounds to me like they are scoping it out for a robbery. you should have a record of every guests vehicle description, well some hotels do that, idk about yours, but if there is a vehicle in your lot at anytime that does not match those in your records, then you have every right to call the police and have them removed.

most deff. they will come out and do a wellness check spot a light on them or just ask them if they are there for business and poss scare them to leave. From then on they will no that the police ride into that lot patroling and wont come back.

You should definately call the police. When you call 911, tell the dispatcher that there is a suspicious vehicle and describe it on the phone as best you can. If the cops do their job right, they will approach the vehicle, make note of the license plate #, and check the identity of the occupants of said vehicle. Put it this way.. if they are up to something bad, the deserve it, if not, then they will be inconvienced for only a few minutes. Remember, offenders do not like attention, once they have been encountered by the police, they will find a different spot to look at

Telling the police that your worried can't really have a negative affect on yourself or others around you even if you might be wrong.

If whoever's in the SUV have a reasonable possibility for being there at such hours doing what seems to be nothing then the cops will find it out and will paint you as nothing more than a 'concerned citizen' (which you are).

So, in short, you have nothing to lose by going to the police and might even help; more or less a win/win.

Talk to your boss or other employees and see if maybe they know who this is or have a good explenation. Otherwise let your boss know ahead of time (asap) about what you have noticed and see what safety precautions are set in place to protect you while you are working there.
If nobody knows who this is or anything I would then call the police and let them know of this suspicious vehicle and that this isnt the first night you have noticed it come around. No matter what you do dont ever try to confront anyone you are unsure about, especially on your own.

Yes, phone them about this NOW (not the emergency number) and not only that, but post recorded delivery your concerns about your safety to the top manager of the hotel, with copies to someone independant and keep a copy.
Buy a personal alarm and keep it on you ready to use and have the emergency police number ready on your mobile.
Can a taxi pick you up at the door just to the public bus etc?
Take the cars registration number from a safe distance and text it to the police (they should give you your local bobbies phone number).

I think it sounds dodgy, and as you are alone at night, it would only be the RIGHT thing to do to call the police - even they would agree that you should - its what theyre there for. Better to call them and it turn out to be nothing, than to not call them and get robbed. Your company would appreciate it too if it saves them a whole lot of money and your wellbeing! I would call the police and tell them about the SUV and I am sure they will have no problem coming out. I worked at a place that was in a high crime area and when we took the money to the bank to be deposited we called the police to follow us every night. They were always nice about it and never had a problem with us calling. Be careful.
