Should I report her? ?

I went to Ardene's today with my 4-year-old niece and we were shopping around. I noticed we were the only actual customers there except for an employee that was ACTUALLY working, an employee that was chilling out and her friends. Her friends said the F-Word a couple of times while talking with to each other and the employee was chattering away with them. And then the employee said the word 'hell' very loudly and my niece had heard all the times they were swearing.
The employee's friends were actually very rude and the employee herself didn't seem to be a very decent girl. The employee looks like she's in her late teen's and I understand she's trying to make a living, but that behaviour is UNACCEPTABLE in a public store which kids can walk in and out of at any moment. My niece was mimicing the girls (I guess she found them very cool..) and she was swearing. I was very angry about it. Should I still report her?

absolutely. i'm getting my first job next year, i'll be 16, and even tho i'm going to be one of those kids, you can't be socializing and cursing when you're supposed to work, that's something you know from when you probably worked and also common sense. she doesn't deserve the job so you should definitely report her. especially in an environment where there are kids. if she was on a brake she should have stepped outside or in the back of the store so you should definitely report her so she can do the correct thing in the future. if you don't say something, who will? they want you to make comments like that so they can improve the store and your shopping experience

I would complain to the manager. I'm sure that if this is her normal behavior that she may already have some complaints, and hopefully something will be done.

You really have to report her. Even if there wasn't a child around, saying vulgar things like that in general are totally unacceptable and improper. If you reported her, you're probably doing her a favor. She needs to learn soon that that's immature to say that in public. I really hope your niece stops copying their language soon. :-)

Yes. I don't think it's even about the fact that there was a child around, but just because she totally ignored you and wasn't doing her job.

For sure you need to call the Manager as soon as possible. This kind of behavior is not tolerated by MOST companies. I'm sure she won't get fired but she will get a rude awakening. This might wake her up. Many times young people think as long as the Manager isn't around they can act anyway they want. This hurts the business. Inform the Manager so she can fix the problem.

To the store manager NOT to the cops it is NOT that serious just tell the store manager but tell the manager to tell them it was anonomys so they dont know who it was when they hopefully get fired cuz it should be on camera

No, don't be a rat. If you wanted to ask her to not swear in front of your niece you should've done it then, not try to mess up her life after the fact.
