The city usually pays more and has better equipment! Sheriffs are politicians, so if you are on the wrong side of the campaign if a new sheriffs is elected or the old wins again, your future may hinge on how you voted!!!! |

NO! Why work for a crowd like that? They know nor care about the Law of the land, they couldn't
spell Jurisdiction and give a proper definition for the word if their life depended on it.
Stay away from men who compromise their belief system for a handful of government benefits. Doom on Them!!! |

Obviously you haven't been provided with first hand information thus far. Sheriff's Offices or Departments, by nature, are generally more busy in most places. There is more area to cover, therefore more stuff to deal with, also the cities fall within the Sheriff's Offices' jurisdiction. I would never prefer to work in a city because I would feel confined. I like being able to roam over the county and have a lot of area to cover. Cities usually pay more though, so if that is a priority for you then it is something to consider, the tradeoff wouldn't be worth it for me. There is nothing wrong with working for a city, I just prefer the county personally. Feel free to ask more detailed questions and I would be happy to give you feedback. |
