Please give me 3 reasons why jueveniles should recieve harsher punishments for crimes, and 3 reasons why a juevenile should'nt recieve harsher punishment for a crime? for the first one i think they should because they will learn their lesson if they get harsher punishments, not life sentences for something, but like some jail time. also, they need to respect the law enforcement, and take them seriously. thirdly, they would be more aware of the fact that what they are doing has a serious affect on themselves and everyone around them. and for the second question, because restricting them will make them want to rebel. Secondly, this will probably result in them keeping more things from their parents and not be open. and lastly, because they are juveniles and they should just get a slap on the wrists but make them aware of what can happen when they are older on the same offense.
but me personally, i think they shouldn't get too harsh of a punishment, because they are kids and they have less of a knowing of right and wrong since peer pressure. |
