Absolutely not! Unmarked police cars should stick to their job of carrying officers around and let the officers be the ones who give out tickets. Darn uppity vehicles!! :-) |

You are just like all the other cry baby whiners who get a ticket because THEY are breaking the law, then don't have the maturity or guts to fess up and admit they were the one breaking the law. Same thing with inmates in prison - not one of them is guilty! They all got a bum rap... etc., etc. BUT, when the $hit hits the fan and you need the police to come and rescue you - do you call the AFL / CIO ? No you don't! You call the guys you know will show up and kick some A$$. So don't pester the rest of us with your little cry baby attitude. You think you can do so much better of a job, YOU go do it! |

STOP whining and deal with it. You break the law, you pay the price. Whats with all the whiners on here always trying to get out of tickets that were THEIR fault? Stop with all the whining and complaining and take some responsibility for your own actions. You play with fire you get burned-MARKED or UNMARKED!!! |

Why so ignorant people who cry and whine over issue's of being stopped by an unmarked car for speeding and road rage can get away with driving like a moron and feel better. Nope that's the purpose of unmarked cars to catch the aggressive drivers who cause accidents. Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear!!! |

It has been going on for a long time now
and I think that is the whole idea, not only that
but they wait for you from afar and stop you if
you're coming from a bar and gives you a
sobriety test if needed. |

If you're not violating the law it's not an issue.
If you are, then it is an issue.
I work in plainclothes and in an unmarked car and I make lots of traffic stops for aggressive driving, suspicious vehicles, etc.
It's my job and I do it well.
I take a lot of bad folks off the streets this way. |

yes because it would be a far safer place to drive if you never know if the car next to you is a police car. Obey the traffic laws and you don't have anything to worry about. |

Yes I think they should, after all they are not only trying to save you from a nasty accident, but they are trying to save victims from getting killed because of your fast driving! It could be one of your own family that gets run over because of a speeding driver, what would you have to say if that happened? "Oh! officer, he didn't mean to kill my little brother!" |

You should probably be less concerned about that than about why it is that you can't think rationally. If you were to complain to a person actually living in a nation where policing is secret and oppressive that you suffer as they do on account of being ticketed by an unmarked car, they would laugh in your face.

It's the cops who decide the tickets.
But what about cctv cameras employed by local authorities that issue tickets based upon some low life looking at a tv screen and deciding you have transgressed the yellow line :) |

I fail to see the problem with it. As long as the officer in the unmarked car is in uniform, the stop is legal. |

No, they should not. Law enforcement should be clearly and obviously marked when dealing with private citizens for trivial matters such as this. I do agree that some undercover officers or unmarked vehicles are needed for some serious concerns but certainly not traffic situations.
The simple fact is that anybody can buy a white car and a police light set up. To know that we are being pulled over by real police, police should use properly marked cars. Traffic violations are trivial and there is no need for an unmarked car to need to make a stop.
Furthermore, I don't need police to help me; however, the laws of our land are such that citizens have their hands tied behind their back while criminals are given a light handslapping. So I won't be calling you except to notify you of the person who screwed with me and just got his a*s beat or shot. |

unmarked police cars do not give tickets in America. |

Yes. I hate traffic tickets. I loved it when a state cop in Maryland got run over when he jumped out in front of a car to give someone a ticket. Serves him right for being a strong armed bridge troll the state uses to fill their coffers. |
