why stop at the "N" word? why not ban every word that offends anybody. We should enforce it with strong penalties - 1 year in prison per offense. I know that it might be "unconstitutional" but the constitution is just a godd@mn piece of paper, right?

no it's not just a piece of paper , it's a set of values that i wore this countries uniform for 22 years defending .
the person foolish enough to use those types of words show their own ignorance , but where in life does one think they have the right to not be offended .

I can certainly appreciate your sarcasm, believe me. I think we've already banned every offensive word, provided that Al Sharpton thinks it's offensive. It certainly does not stop with the 'N' word. I mean, we live in a country where the Florida State Seminoles catch hell over their mascot! Add to that....

Everything is offensive to someone. What we should do, instead of teaching "tolerance" is teach "forgiveness." Then we could all get over it and move on with our lives. |

You want give up freedom of speech? The N word is not banned any more than The F word. The Constitution is the Base Rules for The United States of America. Don't like it you can F leave and Go to Afghanistan or some other place that believe stupid things. Use of the N word was only brought to some level by talk shows. What about the W word used by the N people. It goes both ways. |

all you ......... people make me ........sick. we should not ban words. Cannot control what people think and no matter what the government does. It doesnt mean people will get along. If you hate gays, blacks, whites, or whatever no amount of government oppression will change how people feel.
I never knew anyone who got their a55 kicked cause someone liked them. It was a hate crime. |
