Well I think your mistake was this: You should have just stayed in the pub. If you'da kept on drinking, you wouldn'ta been out yonder where the cop was....see? And then with the "flippin" word. Tsk, Tsk. No need to offend the police officer. Maybe you shoulda offered to buy him a drink....I mean did he really think you were in a state to walk if you stumbled out??? Good Gracious. Cops need some common sense.

(ANS) Simple, you had far too much Alcohol in your blood stream and thus were not in a fit state to try & drive a car.

If it was me I would have let you get in the car put the keys in the ignition then nicked you, people who drink and drive are menace to everyone and yourself, the law should be tightened and if found drink driving,a life time ban.so next time drink nearer home, then you can walk home.That little bit about grabbing you by the shoulder does not ring true.
