According to some, (illegal) aggressive interrogation tactics approved by the Bush administration yielded "high-value results" which helped the U.S. in the war on terror.
So, if I use some (illegal) 'aggressive tactics' at the local bank to get some "high-value results" in order to feed my family, will the law accept that as my defense?
Just wondering.
Or is breaking the law, BREAKING THE LAW?

You miss the idea here.....
They use the tactics to interrogate your accomplices and keep you from robbing the bank, hence a high value result that's good to the community as a whole......not just good for you.
Same with terrorists. They can maul some dirtball terrorist all day long if it means a school full of children doesn't get blown up or some other "high value" result affecting public safety is the goal.
They are not citizens and should be afforded no constitutional rights. |
