If someone is on "Defferred Judgement" for a year and after a year their record will be clean - but during that year will it still appear on their background check that they are on "defferred judgement" or that they have commited that crime?!?!

Or will a background check not show anything at all unless you get in trouble that one year?!?

JUST THE FACTS

Will show up beyond a doubt it is a judgement of quilty and the sentece is held in defferment. After a year it will be gone.

A Deferred Judgement (DJ) is a "tool" used by the judicial system, normally in drug offenses, in an effort to rehabilitate an offender.

The DJ is a way the court provides a time period to facilitate the opportunity to attend and successfully complete a rehabilitation program.

If the offender successfully completes the rehabilitation the case is dismissed.

Your criminal history record will normally still show the arrest and dismissal of the case.
