Call the cops and get a harassing communications report so you have that on record. Then, contact your phone company and provide them with the report number or a copy of it and see if they can block the number. The police won't be able to tell you what the number is or who it belongs to, but only because they probably can't get it from the phone company. Nearly all phone companies require a warrant or a court subpoena before they give out those records. The rules protecting privacy are pretty strict these days. |

I went thru the same thing a little while ago. Tried everything. Finally found out who it was using an online service that traces unlisted calls. I had to pay around $9 for the report, but it gave me a lot of info about the creep who was calling me at 2am. It really freaked him out when I started calling him and I didn't say anything but just breathed in the phone. He stopped calling immediately.
Hope that helps. |

There is no such thing as a truly "blocked" call. The phone company can always tell where someone is calling you from. But in most cases the phone company wont wanna waste time on the matter and they will just offer you a free phone number change to make you stop nagging them. |

I get "unknown" calls. I just don't answer them. It's like email; you don't open emails from someone you don't know do you? I don't answer phone calls from someone I don't know or that doesn't identify themselves. |

Block the calls, and yes. the police CAN see who it is and trace the number. But they gotta be on the line for a bit. Id say just dont answer it and let them stop. Or get one of those things that make the person unblock their number otherwise they cant call |

Try trapcall.com--it is free, and no matter how the person blocks their number, it still shows up...unfortunately, it won't help with your prior annoying calls, but it will help with any future ones!! Good luck!! |

It's just someone with a key-logger on the internet trying to find out your info. What exactly they do with bogus phone numbers is beyond me, but they can be traced. That's why you have to be one step up on them.
Otherwise, keep a log and have it traced. I would also inform certain authority figures for future reference. |

You can request that info from your cell phone provider alot of times they will want an officer to speak to them and file a police report. If the call is made from an actual cell phone provider like att/sprint/verizon there is a good chance the info can be retrieved. But if its a prepaid cell like the ones you buy at walmart that use refill cards then ur out of luck. hope this helps |

The police can't help you. Don't waste their time. Call your phone company and complain about the calls. They can identify the caller and give you the information. Maybe even place a permanent block on the number.
Most phone companies won't give the police anything without a subpoena for the records. A few annoying calls won't rate that much attention from the police. |

Your provider can. 9-1-1 can't.
You can usually block unknown callers if you want to. But some credit collection agencies will actually list their buisness name as "unknown" or "No name given" to get thru those blocks.
Quit answering it or block it. Check with your provider to see if they trace it for you. |
