His dad is wanting to take him to a truck show tonite. I just dont trust him. What would you do?

he was in prison 3 yrs and he knows him of course and my son is 11

I'd let him go. Kids need both parents. I don't know how old your son is, but it might be a good idea to get him a cell phone, though, so he can contact you if there are any problems.
Also, I'm not sure if a truck show is a truck pull or tractor pull, but if so, get him some of those foam earplugs. Those shows are really loud. |

Nothing you can do as long as visitation is in the court papers. If you had fears, you should have gone to court while he was still incarcerated. |

I have to ask, How long was he in prison? How old is your son? Does he know his dad? These questions should play a big part of your decision but regardless..
If I didn't trust him and I was not forced by law to let my son go I would not do it.
But you have options,
You can go with them,
You can have a family member or trusted friend to go with them.
You can call his parole officer for advise
You can also tell dad that he can't go on such short notice but you will be happy to let him see his son with some advance notice so the two of you can work out the details.
The MAIN thing ALWAYS HAVE YOUR SON'S BEST INTEREST in whatever you do. |

he mit of been a drop kick to you .but he has done he time for what ever he did.he should be allowed to see he son if he has never hurt him .little boys love there dad and like doing boys things .you owe it to your son to give he's father a second chance's with him .you don't want your son to grow up hating you for stopping him from seeing he father . |
