I was thinking, so their mailing all these citations to the people who supposedly committed violations. If these are not sent certified mail how can the courts confirm the person actually received the ticket? Your sending out tickets that if not paid can issue arrest warrant on an individual and there's a chance he/she might have not even known the whole time. Even if you send them certified there's no guarantee it will get in the hands of the person who committed the crime or the person registered to the vehicle.
Is our government willing to look like hypocrites with all the regulations they have in place to make some extra money?
People who serve you papers have to do it in person to confirm you got them.
Cops who issue moving violations must confirm the driver of the vehicle and they don't just run the plates and issue a ticket to that person.
These speed cameras seem to have some unjust power that supercedes all of the regulations we have in place and our government will just look like hypocrites just to make some extra money it appears.

If you send out 10,000 citations what happens when a few of those get lost? First off the individual is not expecting a ticket from the get go... the notice was lost now he/she has an arrest warrant out on them all because of BS speed cameras. There's no way to make speed cameras constitutional because they don't ask questions, they don't confirm the driver, and it makes the public very angry.
I would expect to see a ban on speed cameras by 2010. These camera companies keep going to cities and advertising how much money it can make the town/city that's the selling point, Money... not saftey like they would lead you to believe.
