Speeding ticket.....94 in a 65....?

This is my first speeding ticket. I was in a rush to get to work and ended up going 94 in a 65 and being pulled by a state trooper. Is my license automatically revoked? Can i fight the ticket? What is my best chance of keeping my license?

Your best bet is to contact the courts and ask them these questions. They are the ones who will process your ticket and will know all the laws and regulation. You should also ask the courts if you are allowed to take a driving school class. This will prevent your insurance from going up and points from being placed on your license. Just make sure you get the courts permission before doing so. If you don’t the courts will reject your driving school certificate. Good luck!

I hope they do revoke your license. 94 in a 65 is ridiculous!

It depends what state you got the ticket in and what their policy is on speeding that much over the speed limit.

I go pretty fast on the road, but the most you should ever go on an interstate is 15mph over the speed limit. My suggestion would be to pay the ticket because a lot of times if you fight it, the judge may increase the fine. So if you are paying like $200 for the ticket, that could be a lot.

Public panic = Fox News profit
What state?
What method of recording your speed (VASCAR, Laser, Radar, Motor pacing?)
What did you say to the officer when he walked up? (i.e., did you answer the "Do you know how fast you were going?" question)
Were any other people in the car with you?

Answer those and we'll be able to help you. I literally just beat a 87.5 in a 55 ticket this afternoon.

The first thing you want to do is plead not guilty. This is not saying "I didn't do it", but just that you are placing the burden of proving your guilt on the officer.

"a lot of times if you fight it, the judge may increase the fine"

That would be illegal. This never happens. 5% of people bother to fight the ticket, and about half of that 5% are dismissed. Most of the other half are reduced to something much more manageable, which will almost certainly mean no suspension of your license.

blank
Just pay the ticket.

Awesome one
that's funny, just take it

Just like everyone else said, depends on what state you are in. I really do not think that you will get your license take way, it might just cost you some major points.
