Speeding ticket in Maine?

I got a ticket for going a few mph over the limit. I'm Don't think I was but I do want to fight it. I'm not from Maine I wonder if there Is there any sense in even trying. If so how? Any tip would be extremely helpful

Normally, if you wish to contest the ticket, you must show up on your court date. Unless it was a major violation such as DUI or Reckless, lawyers will never be involved. You will need to plead your case before the judge, the cop will plead his. Your best hope would be that the cop doesn't show up, but that doesn't mean the judge won't rule against you out of hand.

Something to consider: is going back and contesting the ticket worth the cost? (both short and long term financial aspects of winning or losing). You have to imagine the worst possible outcome of this...
