i'm 16 and i live in Ohio. i've had my license for 4 months. i got my first speeding ticket and was clocked at 84 mph in a 65. i had two non-related passengers that were both 15. i plan to fight this because i know i was not going 84, how much good will that do me? i have a court date, what's going to happen?

first of all, why in the heck were you going 84 in a 65 - and don't try to say you know you were not going that fast. radar doesn't lie. you're lucky you weren't stopped by me because i would not have had any mercy. fight it all you want - chances are you were also captured on dash cam which could show the speed on tape (at least mine was set up that way).

honestly you are lucky you didn't have an accident and hurt someone. your insurance rates are going to go through the roof and you're going to have a pretty hefty fine at a minimum.
