Street fight legality in UK?

Mate, as someone who has actually been forced to fight in the public domain - (on the street, in/outside clubs, a train station.) this is dangerous. Im not talking the cuts, bruises, possible fractures/breakages to knuckles, bones, jaw's and eyesocket's that may happen, it's the things you have little control over that cause serious troubles.

When I done crowd control, The first thing I was taught on the door by my boss was: when you knock someone out, thats not the problem, how they fall down and if they hit anything on the way down is the problem. That person can potentially die if they hit their head on a hard object.

How? When someone is knocked out they drop. If you don't grab them and they land badly you are responsible. You will get done for assault. A good lawyer can get you off the manslaughter charge, which will be pressed, regardless if the persons death was the intention, because your actions directly/indirectly contributed to the persons death.

Im not going to go into how an arm or leg can be broken, a wild swing to the throat causing hospitalisation/death or the chance that someone will go too far and do something stupid like using an object for a weapon. Alot of people don't know how to fight, they go gung-ho or panic, get stupid and desperate. Most times this leads to a sloppy exchange where little to no harm is done. But like I said before, if the sh*t hits the fan, someone has to wear it.

Think hard about this. There is some serious sh*t involved.

This would be an offence of affray first off and there are implications of other offences too.

I would suggest acting like an adult instead and letting sleeping dogs lie.

It's illegal and you will be prosecuted if you are caught. Can't you settle your difference in a civilised manner without brawling.

You could be prosecuted for a section five public order offence, common law breach of the peace, affray or, should one of you be injured and make a complaint against the other, a possibility of a charge of ABH (Actual Bodily Harm), or if serious injuries, a charge of GBH (Grievous Bodily Harm). Best to shake hands call it a day and go for a pint.

the answer is no in many ways in public places such as public parks and in the street its against the public order act and can cause alarm if its a consented fight between two adults then do not do it in pulic places else you both may end up getting arrested , the public order act outlaws alot of things in public including verbal abuse and threats which include racist incitement and now from may this year it also includes homophobic incitement and abuse,

This has been a way to settle arguements for a long time throughout history, its only now where people just fight for no reason like a bunch of thugs. If no one presses charges i dont think theres a problem. What about all this UFC that everyone raves about, thats pretty viscious but is also legal.

Or go on opposite teams on a rugby game and knock hell out of each other, no legal implications there.

If neither party make a complaint it is still an Affray. An affray can be committed anywhere even your own house so it's always illegal.

Don't advertise it - the police will bumble along on a moral high horse and break it up.
The garden bit is fine as it is on your own property.
