It will all depend on your state's CCW and gun laws if it is legal or not.

If it comes down to it, contact the NRA for assistance, especially if the school district is trying to infringe on or limit your Constitutional right.

I think there was an instance in years past where a teacher in your position had to park at the far end of the parking lot in order to be the required distance from the buildings. You would just need to check with you schools code and local laws. I heard about the teacher because he ended up stopping a shooting at his school after running all the way out to his car. Hopefully I didn't mess up what I heard, but I know there was a situation close to that.

yes, as long as you have your permit and do not take it on school grounds.... meaning "dont take it out of your car when you are at school". But why do you need a gun if you are a substitute teacher?

Probably not - because cars can be broken into and the contents stolen.

School districts, and most other employers, usually have policies prohibiting their employees from possessing firearms on school property even if they had concealed handgun licenses.

If it is policy, as long as it is promulgated in a handbook somewhere. they do not have to tell you this, but if they ever find out that you're carrying a handgun in your car, they can fire you, and they may be able to prosecute you.

If there is a private or public (non school owned) parking lot across the street and you park there you will be fine, just not on school property.

i believe a car is considered an extension of your home so possibly although it would be best to call the local police to be sure

Uh...yeah...what's the question here? Oh yeah....I doubt it. Usually the law states no firearms on school premises. Just check with local law enforcement.

Yes. You have a permit to carry it. You have the right to carry it and it should be fine since you are not in the actual school with it.
