Will people see things differently in regards to how Police Officer conduct a traffic stop?
People criticize the manner how Police handled the traffic stop with Ryan Moats in Texas, but then Officers who slip up get killed like they did in Oakland.

Both in combination is the reason why I am not going to be a Police officer like I wanted. To many double standards and armchair police officers out there.
The public and the press will second guess every decision made by the police with facts not available to the officer at the time.
Compassion has it's time and place, with a child who's lost his parents in a car crash, sure, but confronting law breakers NO is not what I believe a police officer is for.
To me the Oakland Shootings were clearly in the mine of the Dallas Police officer that day....his actions prove it. Confronting non-compliant vehicle occupants that out numbered him, had the officer in size. I think he did his job well. |

Moats is a player in the NFL. He is one of the elite class, so how dare that police man stop him for running a red light.
Seriously though, I think that the police officer did the right thing, but should have shown a little compassion. I don't think that he should lose his job or even be disciplined.
As far as the Oakland incident, this would not be an issue if that scumbag was wormfood like he should have been (death penalty).
Bear: the Moats incident took place on March 18, and the Lovell Mixon (Oakland) incident was on the 21st. I doubt the Oakland shootings were on the Dallas cop's mind (unless he has ESP). |
