We should enforce the existing immigration laws. |

Local enforcement should be stepped up. The businesses that hire illegals should be cracked down on in a major way. The owners and CEO's should go to prison for hiring illegals. No more games. |

Since the lame congress can't do their job we should enforce the existing laws. As U.S. citizens we should be vigilant and keep the hunt on for illegals. We should continue to call and write our leaders and push them to do the right thing. NO AMNESTY! |

Politicians have played with the public way too long when it comes to immigration laws and enforcement.
To have local jurisdictions enforce immigration laws places an extremely heavy burden on an already undermanned and thinly stretched law enforcement function.
The politics played with the Border Patrol is unacceptable. These people are just about working with their hands tied let alone reluctant to do their jobs for fear of reprisals such as the two border patrolmen who were sent to prison. Although I don't believe an officers weapon should have been used in THIS case when it was....I don't admonish the agents for attempting to do their jobs! Eight hundred pounds of marijuana is NOT a simple possession for personal use!
This is not to say that we should just shut down our borders...but at LEAST start controlling what IS coming across the border. Crime statistics have risen within my own jurisdiction with Hispanic on Hispanic crimes yet there's no increase of financial support from the US Government to assist in this area.
To attempt at getting INS to respond to local issues...that's a whole new ball of wax!
We don't need "eyewash diplomacy" to fix this problem...we need real solutions!
Thanks for letting me vent on this issue! |

Rigid zero tolerance enforcement of all excising laws . Make moves toward totally securing our border. Grant all law enforcement agency's the right to stop and arrest all suspected illegal aliens .
Stop employers from hiring illegal aliens by again enforcing the federal felony laws against aiding and abetting. Punish all sanctuary city's by withholding state and federal funds until they are in total compliance with the law..Deport all illegal aliens as identified...
The BS rhetoric that this nations economy would collapse if all the illegal aliens were deported is just more propaganda spread by the supporters of the illegal alien criminal trespasser's.
Wheres The Fence ? |

What will happen is that the states will step up their own efforts to round up and deport illegals because of the failure of the federal governmeant to address any issue, and voter resent ment will build and ultimately change the political land scape on the hill. Mean while it will be the same ol same ol until some border agents get killed or anther terror cell or terrorist is caught infiltrating or perpetrating a crime against us gets martial law called out for the border counties. |
