This guy, was probally one of the most brillant, next to manson, who Diddnt actually kill anyone himself, but convinced everyone else to do it for him.

He would freeze his victims after usually poisioning them with cyanide and then months or years later, release them into the wild, so when they found the body, they couldnt place a time of death since the freezing kept it preserved.

As a straight male, I would say the most frightening to me is Richard Ramirez, aka The Nightstalker. Most serial killers attack gay men, women, and sometimes children. Ramirez, though, just drove around until he found a house he liked the looks of (from a breaking and entering standpoint), broke in, and usually killed the male if there was one before raping the female.

He was convicted of 48 Murders (most of them were beaten over the head with a hammer then had a vodka bottle shoved in the open wound of their head), but claimed to have killer over 60 people. He mainly targeted lonely people such as the homeless or women walking alone.

He killed all but one in Bista Park. He had a Chessboard of every, I don't know, square mile or something and marked on the board where he killed every person. He had all but like 1 or 2 squares left on his board when he was caught. He said:
"For me, life without killing is like life without food for you"

He was sentenced to Life in prison, and the first 15 years in solitary confinement.

It's scary that this went on for about 15 years, and no one:
1) even knew people were being murdered until the first body was found in I think 2001.
2) Could figure out who it was for several years.

Ed Gein would skin his victims and used them to decorate his house with.

John Gacy would dress up as a clown and lure little boys into a certain place and tell them that he had a pair of trick handcuffs that he would dare them to try and get out of. But they were real, and he would tie a rope around their neck and rape them while he killed them.

Albert Fish was a pedophile, serial killer, and a cannibal, with over 100 victims.

The evil incarnate Lawrence Bittaker, this freak get's it by a short nose from anyone you care to nominate.

'Alone with the Devil' is the most chilling book I have ever read on the subject of serial killlers, and this monster was just about the worst example in the book.

Be advised - the book is a tough read, and don't order it if you are faint hearted or easily upset.

The Hillside Stranglers and Bundy deserve dishonourable mention however, evil beyond imagining that even the Devil would say 'enough already'.
