okay well i wasn't there but my boyfriend stole a lot of CD's and DVD's at target. he was caught and his parents had to come get him, he has a court date on April 9th at 8:30. my question is, what is the most he can get, this is his first offense, he has absolutely no other record at all, & he gets really good grades.
he's fifteen, i'm so scared that something is gonna happen bad.

Probably he will be given a slap on the wrist because he is a minor.
Maybe community service, but he's not going to jail... still you should consider getting a new boyfriend. |

It depends on the dollar value of the items he stole. The total. Under $50, there is huge chance he would get probation and fines. Under $200, the same if he has a good lawyer. Between $200 and $500, he might get some time in juvie. Over $500, he is almost sure to get time in juvie. |
