Ticket for inspection.?

Today there was a road block in my village where cops stopped everyone and ended up ticketing pretty much everyone with any problem. I apparently had an inspection due. I didn't know this. He gave me a ticket. I went right away to a mechanic shop to get it inspected. $10.50 for the inspection.

Does anyone have any idea what will happen from here or what I should do. I am a very good driver 18 years old, I follow the rules of the road, I don't drink or smoke, I am on the Deans list at my university.

Should I plead guilty or go to court and plead with the judge?

Your ticket might be what is known as a "fix it" ticket. If that's the case ... no big deal!

Try going to the department that issued the ticket with proof that the inspection is done (the sticker mounted on your windshield should do the trick). An officer might "sign off" on the ticket right then, no court appearance or fine. Worst case? You have to go to court, bring your receipt for the inspection with you. The court might reduce the fine or dismiss the charge if you are lucky.

Where do you live? Village? Okay first I'd look @ the citation to see if it has any instructions printed on it in terms of how to comply with the law; second I'd go to the police dept w/my receipt for the inspection and ask what you need to do; finally if you end up on court over it produce the receipt for the work and you needn't worry about being "guilty" of anything as he's obliged to dismiss the case because you had the work done. I would just pay the ticket. If you go to court and are found guilty, you will not only have to pay the fine, but also the ensuing court costs. Which will very likely double the original fine. Also if you go to court and the judge lets you off, you will have to pay the Court costs regardless.

Why do you people put this? Does this mean you're allowed to break the law because you do well in school? Yet you're stupid enough to write this out in a post like this like somehow you're allowed to do stuff becuase you do well in school, as far as your thought process goes.

Once, just once I'd love to see one of these idiots just come in here, sans any outside qualifications that have zero to do with their case and go "yeah, I messed up and I'm going to take responsibility without trying to find nonexistent loopholes to get out of it"
