That depends on the state.
Minnesota does not require fingerprints or even an arrest for minor consumption or minor in possession. You get a ticket with a mandatory appearance in court and most often pay a fine. |

Minor in Possession is typically a lower class misdemeanor or a petty offense, both of which count as a criminal charge. Fingerprinting isn't usually required unless you are arrested (you'll be fingerprinted when getting booked in), but I believe an arrest for MIP is not the common practice in most states. |

yeah you will be finger printed everytime you get arrested and you can probably pay a fine and they will drop it from your record |
