Traffic Speeding ticket in WA.?

I'm not sure but I think I heard that traffic(speeding) ticket can be nullity by taking a Driver's safety online course. Is that true?
If it is, can anybody let me know the sites?
I have only few days left to attend court. Thanks!

Its typical that you can take traffic school on order to prevent any points from getting added to your license, but it is not going to lower/prevent any fine you have coming for the violation. Schools like this (your link) may be approved by the courts, but you have to pay the court fine in order to even be allowed to take the traffic school. Otherwise, they will not accept it and you will still get the points. Im in Cali and the courts charge you a fee of $65 just for the permission to take traffic school, then the school itself charges you. |

i believe that you can go to court and ask for a deferment or something like that. I live in Washington, and I had my speeding ticket deferred, I paid like 100.00 or something and it did not go on my record...(not affect my insurance) You cannot get any more speeding tickets for a year or so.....or, it will go on your record

Your best bet is to contact the courts and ask them these questions. They are the ones who will process your ticket and will know all the laws and regulation. You should also ask the courts if you are allowed to take a driving school class. This will prevent your insurance from going up and points from being placed on your license. Just make sure you get the courts permission before doing so. If you don’t the courts will reject your driving school certificate. Good luck!

call the court first and make sure the course you plan to take is recognized by them. a buddy of mine paid for one of those things and then come to find out the court didnt recognize it. sheesh! |
