It seems that nobody doubts that these two knew precisely what they were doing. What pisses me, is that drugs is far and away the biggest cause of crime and the successive governments of this country have declared an anti drug agenda but will spend substantial sums of taxpayer's money trying to get these retards of the hook. Let these two spend their 10 years in an African prison. |

Deserve to be locked up for their stupidity if nothing else |

They said it was laptops they were supposed to bring back.
Like PC World was too far to go, so someone gave them a FREE holiday to Ghana. |

As the old adage goes "If you can't do the time don't do the crime" |

a free holiday and a cash payment on delivery completion no doubt... and i agree with Kelly ~ although a pick up man would probably have been used, but i guess they could have tracked the guy or the packages... Those girls knew exactly what they were doing and probably not the first time either... |

they shouldnt have been travelling un supervised and this wouldnt have happened telling parents going on a school trip i know i would have checked with school its going to be a long stay in ghana now and the parents better start saving to visit there daughters to all parents check things out dont be fooled by your kids |

So they got duped, they are not the first they are not the last, and you can bet your last pound that that isnt the actual truth of what happened.
You would have thought that their parents would have told them of the risks.
If they are found guilty then I hope they spend the first part of their sentence in Ghana.
I hope that if they are not British Citizens they are refused citizenship, should they attempt to secure citizenship later, based on the seriousness of the crime.
Personally Id prefer to go further and say if anybody granted British citizenship commits a serious crime, then on completion of any sentence(s) then their British Citizenship is revoked, but that isn't going to happen, becuase it may upset their human rights, and we can[t have that for drug runners can we..... |

Poor Cow's - they took a chance and got caught ...naughty -naughty - if you are not prepared to do the time - don't do the crime. who the f'uck goes to Ghana on holiday..?! they were caught the minute they appeared at check-in... |

I find it amazing to think that with the current security state (people trying to let off bombs) anyone would carry anything into a plane that they hadn't packed themselves (or at least looked inside).
They might be naive little girls, but I'm sure in myself that they knew what they were doing.... |

Idiots like these two girls are why I have to spend over an hour going through security at Heathrow on a connecting flight. It really annoys me I have to go through security a second time in London, but heres a perfect example of why it is the case ... |

I can, young totally thick, and like rap music. Unprepared to deal with the consequences of their actions and will cost the taxpayer thousands for defence lawyers. |

I quite agree.
No-one in their right mind would think for a minute that this was legit, and if they did they probably need locking up for their own safety - they're obviously too stupid to be let out on their own. |

They told their parents they were on a school trip to France. Thing is, all sorts of "justice abroad" groups will try to help them just because they are British. If they were from Ghana no-one would care. Stuff them. They broke the law in a foreign country and they have to deal with that country's legal system. |

Id prefer if the government had a zero tolerance on drug smugling, there is no place in our society for this. It's bad enough with asbos, teen drunks, unwanted pregnancies and our standard of living in these filth ridden areas.
Leave em there in Jail. they knew what they were doing was probably illegal.
Hope they never come back and send shock waves around our country that this will not be tolerated. |

it is a real shame as they are only 16 years old, but they knew what they were doing, i don't care what anyone says, they knew it was drugs, but they are now going to use there age to get away with it, keep safe all the best |

The girls lied to their parents about where they were going, they knew they were doing something their parents wouldn't approve of, they were probably offered a sum of money.
Without seeing the court case my feeling is that they are guilty, not just innocents girls taken for a ride. |

It's hard to believe that 2 girls can be that incredibly stupid in today's world. |
