Sec 52 of the misuse of drugs act 71 states that it is an offence to unlawfully possess a controlled drug.
2 conditions to proving the offence are 1: got it under your possession
2:knew it was a controlled drug.
As such you would be guilty.
If your brother then gives you a tenner petrol money then you could also be done for supply as you have gained from it.
Keep telling him no and tell your sister to do the same, if he persists then set your cat on him! |

Yes you can get into trouble, effectively you are supplying the marijuana to him. Is his agoraphobia diagnosed? Because this too could involve you even more. In effect you are being his "mule". If the police have an operation and are doing a "stake-out" on the provider of the marijuana they have you going to collect it. You don't mention if you are actually going to purchase it for him (as he can't leave the house) and that again puts you in a predicament with Police. Your brother should not involve you in any of these deals. |

Yes you would be arrested for possession of class c drug cannabis.
The police have heard the it's not mine excuse a million times and you would be probably charged or cautioned.
Depending on the amount it could even be perceived as possession with intent to supply. If they want to get really petty your dna/prints would be on the packaging so they could link you that way. However this is unlikely to be done if it is only a small amount.
Agoraphobic or not if he wants it that bad he will get it himself. Don't be anyones scape goat. |

you would get in trouble if they stopped you, they have every right to check your car (inside and out) and if they find it, you would get a criminal record for being in possession. |

aiding and abetting a drug dealer user should get you 2 years suspended,escalating to a prison sentence if you repeat the offence,
cut out the middle man and get the dealer to do a delivery service,
ain't the perfect solution but it may keep you out of prison and your waste of space brother can sit in his own bedroom slowly chilling himself to death,,Peace man. |

tell him to quit it and his agoraphobia will probably calm down, and yes you could still get into trouble depending on the amount and if you get the right cop to believe you, people use this excuse all the time, you can just act innocent you will have to act a bit angry and be on the phone swearing at him. |

It depends how much is there ? if its just the odd draw then no, it depends on your response get a good story straight like you were socialising with some old friends or something but if its above a quarter of an ounce i would stash it in the car. Police take cannabis very lightly as long as its not to much then you will get charged but if its a reasonable amount then no you've got nothing to worry about despite what these other responses are most of them would have never seen marijuana.
But with the condition your brothers in i would encourage him to stop cannabis leads to alot more problems with him having some issues it wont help. |

yes of course you will get in trouble and taken to the police station to be strip searched and probably charged. don't you think the police will have heard every sob story ever thought. Even if your brother tells the police that the hash is his can e prove that, they think he is covering for you. Getting stoned is probably the cause of his agoraphobia. don't do it, at the end of the day they would still arrest you even if you said it wasn't yours and if they did a lie detector test you would fail it as you would have known it was there, if your brother insists on doing drugs tell him he has to get over his agoraphobia and go get it himself, or find a dealer that will deliver to his house. |

The answer to the question you HAVE asked is that yes you can get into trouble if you have Marijuana in your car, regardless if you know it's there or not. The answer to the question you HAVEN'T asked, if you get caught collecting the stuff you will be spending a long time in jail due to the fact that you are "buying and supplying" regardless if you are buying (or bought) and collecting it for your brother. Marijuana is illegal full stop and the consequences are high.
By the way, the cover story has holes in it. Your brother suffers from Agoraphobia which means that he can't leave the house so how come he was the last one driving your car?
As for getting your sister in on the act - you have to tell your parents because she may not be as sensible as you.

Get yourself a backbone and just get the poor bloke his weed. Try not to live your life in fear of bullies. Just stick the weed in your pants the police cannot look at your pipi on the roadside. Oh and by the way just for all the enemies of freedom out there cannabis is not unlawfull it is only regulated by an act not a real law. Acts have an element of consent involved. |
